Carnet and Mac OS X
Address Book
Mac OS X comes with its own address book (namely “Address Book”), which obviously impacts Carnet. Apple's address book doesn't store data by itself, it relies on a system database above which the application works. Other applications such as Mail and Safari already know how to reach that same database. Apple's address book is only a front face to show and edit the database contents, among other applications.This approach amounts for a great progress for the user: the data is centralized in a single place, available for every compatible applications. More, these applications enhance each others, thus email address entered in Address Book are automatically visible in Mail, as well as any other compatible application. They are also taken into account by iSync for synchronization without any further data manipulation by the user.

If your Mac supports Classic, you can continue using Carnet in Classic mode. Only the dialing through modem will be inactive, as Classic can not see the modem at all. Except that, the application works normally and is fully compatible with Classic.
The other solution is to convert your data using the above utility, and to transfer it in Mac OS X's database. You can then reach the data using Apple's Address Book.
