What’s new in version 1.2?
Version 1.2 brings full compatibility with RapidWeaver
4.
I use Time Machine, why do I still need Umbrella?
Umbrella is closely linked to RapidWeaver and creates a
new backup every time you export or publish your site
(or any time you want by clicking the
“manual backup” button). These backups can be
much closer in time than the Time
Machine backups, which only happen once per hour, while
it is possible to do a lot of changes in a single hour
of work on a RapidWeaver site. Thus, Umbrella brings a
much better safety to your RapidWeaver documents,
somewhat like the automatic save feature found in
certain applications.
What was new in version 1.1?
This update makes Umbrella compatible with
Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard.” To install it, open
the folder (user name)/Application Support/RapidWeaver
and replace the old version with the new version. You
must then relaunch RapidWeaver to load the new version.
Why is the Umbrella page always marked as changed?
Because otherwise RapidWeaver wouldn't call Umbrella at
the next export or publish. This automatic “mark as
changed” is part of Umbrella's inner workings and is
perfectly normal.
