Data menu is only visible if the frontmost window is a template. The menu is active only if a text box is in edit mode. |
Initial
Inserts the <i> tag
.
This tag is replaced at print time by the current record's initial as
it appears in the list.
Date
Inserts the <d> tag. This tag is replaced at print time by the current
date.
Page Number
Inserts the <#> tag. This tag is replaced at print time by the page
number. If the template divides the printing zone into sub-pages, the
sub-page's number is printed.

In templates of type Labels, since each label is a sub-page, the number is incremented for each label in the page. |
File Name
Inserts the <filename> tag. This tag is replaced at print time
by the printed list's name.
Fields of the list
The remainder of this menu inserts tags matching the fields
in the list. The tags are replaced at print time by the current record's
corresponding data.

chapter, notably about the Notes field.
