Extraction

When the extraction option is checked, the search is executed on all the lists, local and/or remote, and all the occurrences found are extracted at once.

If a network search is selected, extraction is mandatory.

The result of the extraction can be pasted into a new list (whose window takes the searched text as its title), or merged with the current list. In this case, the occurrences found in the same list are obviously not duplicated, only the records found in other lists are added.

The found records can be marked, optionally also unmarking previously marked records in the list. In this case, at the end of the extraction, Carnet only shows marked records, giving an instant display of the search result.

If no occurrence is found, Carnet beeps.

You can mark records in an accumulative manner, by proceeding with several extractions in a row, without unmarking the previously marked records.
