Cover
Page,
Follow-up Pages
In Address
Book and Cards templates, you can define
an optional cover page. Only the <date> and <page number>
tags can be used on the cover page, any other tag will be ignored while
printing.
In Card templates,
you can also define a follow-up page. The follow-up pages are used
to print large amounts of data from the Notes field. If a single card
is not enough for a record, one or more follow-up pages can be inserted
after the main page of the record.
When the follow-up
page is displayed in the template window, the items in the main page are
drawn in grey to be used as guides. You can copy all the items on the
main page, then paste them all together on the follow-up page, where they
appear right at the same place. You can then modify them separately, add
more, delete some. The follow-up page's template is fully independant.
Important --
If the notes start printing in the main page and if the follow-up page
option is activated at print time, including a <notes> tag
in the follow-up page is mandatory. Else, Carnet may enter an infinite
loop trying to reach the end of the notes and adding useless follow-up
pages.
You can insert and
repeat any other tags in the follow-up page (<company>, etc.). Only
the <notes> tag have the special meaning of "trailing notes"
in the follow-up page.
